Pilot model on social aid for drug-resistant tuberculosis patients

Nha Trang City People’s Committee has just worked with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Department of Labor, Invalids & Social Affairs to prepare for the pilot model on social aid for drug-resistant tuberculosis patients in Nha Trang City.

 

Reportedly, 8 districts and towns in Khanh Hoa Province have been chosen by the Department of Social Protection and the WHO to pilot the model with the purpose to assist drug-resistant tuberculosis patients to settle their life, integrate into the community through social services for the patients and their families; provide livelihood and meet other essential needs for better care; and raise the awareness of drug-resistant tuberculosis preventive care in the community.
