On July 21, Nguyen Duy Bac, Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee, presided over a meeting with relevant departments and agencies on the preparation for the ceremony to posthumously award the title “Heroic Vietnamese mothers” scheduled to take place on July 27.
The preparation for the ceremony has completed, according to Khanh Hoa Department of Labor, War Invalids & Social Affairs. Reportedly, the State President has signed a decision to award and posthumously award the title “Heroic Vietnamese mother” to 518 mothers. Therefore, 924 mothers in Khanh Hoa have been awarded the title “Heroic Vietnamese mother”. 40 alive mothers are receiving life care with a monthly grant of 800,000-1 million each.
Nguyen Duy Bac requested relevant departments and agencies to hold a solemn ceremony and Khanh Hoa Department of labor, War Invalids & Social Affairs to focus on improving living standards of heroic Vietnamese mothers in the time to come.
