Cam Thinh Toll Collection Station has operated since end-January to recover BOT capital for the national road 1 running through Cam Ranh City and Cam Lam District. 194 Construction Investment Corporation has applied modern technology in toll collection under Hungarian copyright.
With the smart management system, one cannot intervene in data programming or change. Lanes and toll cabins are installed with security cameras. The total transactions can be counted at any time.
According to Nguyen Tat Dat, Chief of Post-checking Office, Cam Thinh Toll Collection Station, toll collection has been strictly managed under the smart technology system which is connected to the register data of Vietnam Road Administration.
Therefore, all vehicles passing the toll station can be identified. When any mistakes in entering codes of tickets or vehicle categories are found, an error signal message will be displayed, thus helping preventing loss of revenue.
Pham Van Thuong, Head of Cam Ranh City 194 BOT project says the technological application in toll collection has helped save time, eliminate delay on the toll road and prevent forgery and fraud in toll collection.
Inspectors can easily extract and compare data from reports and storage for checking. The system can prevent data breach and fraud, according to a station leader.
Under the guidance by the Ministry of Transport, the station is cooperating with competent authorities to apply non-stop toll collection which automatically debits vehicle owners’ accounts without requiring them to stop.
Moreover, the station is equipped with 2 infrared cameras on two motorcycle lanes to prevent and deter crime.
