Khanh Hoa Department of Education & Training has just implemented the Prime Minister’s Instruction No. 17 dated May 16, 2016 for Departments of Education & Training to enhance child injury, accident and drowning prevention.

Accordingly, the Department of Education & Training required for the implementation of documents on injury and drowning prevention education among students and their parents; cooperation with news agencies to boost injury and drowning prevention propaganda; promotion of teachers’ roles in providing child injury prevention and water safety skills; warnings of danger and risks to swimmers; guidance for students to assure safety when joining picnics and outdoor activities to prevent drowning risks; and celebration of safe and rewarding summer activities in cooperation with the Youth Union al all levels and children’s houses.
Besides, the Department of Education & Training also requested to boost public participation in teaching swimming to children; put up warning signs in dangerous or isolated places; provide favorable conditions for children to learn swimming, encourage parents to take their children to swimming classes in summer, etc.
