More than 1,000 Youth Union members and young people from border stations, border posts and coastal communities in Khanh Hoa took part in a coastal clean-up day on July 24 in response to the Community Coastal Clean-up campaign.
Khanh Hoa Border Defense Headquarters in association with Thien Tam Foundation, the Vingroup, offered 500 gifts worth VND500,000 each to the disadvantaged. Outstanding fishermen signed pledges to join effort to protect the marine environment on this occasion.
The event aimed to raise awareness of environmental preservation, strategic positions and the importance of the sea and islands in the national construction and defense.
