The Management Board of Nha Trang Bay has taken various measures to keep Nha Trang Bay green, clean and friendly.

The marine environment has been well preserved thanks to local residents and tourists’ environmental awareness and great effort of authorities, according to Huynh Binh Thai, Deputy Chief of Nha Trang Bay Management Board.
Since 2015, Nha Trang Bay Management Board has cooperated with Youth Union members and young people in coastal wards to tidy beaches; and mobilize dive clubs and organizations to remove trash from underwater environments at Hon Mun. Hon Mun Marine Reserve, especially its coral reef ecological system, has been strictly protected.
The maintenance and repair of mooring buoys and limit buoys have been assured to serve tourist moorings in tourism seasons. In the first 6 months of 2016, Nha Trang Bay Management Board rebuilt 5 concrete and iron limit buoys in south- and north-eastern Hon Mun. Recently, sightseeing tours to Hon Mun have increased significantly with 1,200-1,500 arrivals/ day. Therefore, the management of tourist boats to Hon Mun has been focused together with frequent patrol and inspection to prevent any damages to coral reefs, according to Huynh Binh Thai.
In addition, Nha Trang Bay Management Board has submitted some scientific and technological studies to Khanh Hoa Department of Science & Technology. They include measures to raise effectiveness of the strictly-protected zone of Hon Mun by using 4-jaw mooring buoys and the bearing capacity of the strictly-protected zone of Hon Mun.
Besides the work mentioned above, much effort has been made to improve rescue operations on beaches along Nha Trang Bay, especially in coastal areas along Tran Phu Street and Pham Van Dong Street. In the first 6 months, the rescue teams saved 21 cases of drowning.
In the time to come, more lifeguard towers will be put up in Northern Nha Trang Beach. Reportedly, Nha Trang City People’s Committee has just equipped water scooters expected to be put in use this month to serve water-related rescue on Hon Chong Beach.
