Le Duc Vinh had a bilateral meeting with Koh Poh Koon, State Secretary, Singapore Ministry Trade & Industry on July 11 within the framework of the 2016 World Cities Summit (WCS) Mayors Forum.

The two leaders shared information about the session on “Governance and management towards a livable future, ecology and sustainanity”; and “Cooperation and partnership towards a livable future, ecology and sustainanity” as well as experience in urban management and planning.
Especially, the two leaders discussed cooperation plans between Khanh Hoa Province and Singapore in the time to come. Le Duc Vinh introduced about the provincial strength and potentials, especially in marine economics and tourism and suggested that the State Secretary would provide trade promotion opportunities, calling Singaporean businesses to invest in auxiliary industries in Khanh Hoa to motivate marine economics.
Le Duc Vinh also expressed his hope there would be many Singaporean projects in Khanh Hoa. This can be seen as a premise for opening direct flights between Khanh Hoa and Singapore to facilitate investors and tourists’ travel to Khanh Hoa. Koh Poh Koon agreed to encourage potential investors in Singapore to invest in Khanh Hoa Province.
This meeting was an important step towards creating a premise for the two leaders to continue detailed discussion in order to boost the realization of the cooperation between Khanh Hoa and Singapore.
