Many reciprocation activities will be held for policy beneficiaries on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs' Day.


Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee will organize a ceremony to posthumously award the title “Heroic Vietnamese mothers” recognized by the State President in 2016 to 65 mothers. In addition, Khanh Hoa leaders will pay a visit and offer gifts to nursing institutions and 80 outstanding policy beneficiaries’ families; districts and wards will grant gifts from the State President and the province to war invalids, sick soldiers and their families; lay wreaths at martyr cemeteries, etc.
 

On this occasion, leaders of the Military Region 5 plans to pay a visit and offer gifts to  care-receivers at Khanh Hoa Nursing Center for Policy Beneficiaries. Besides, Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee will hold a sight-seeing trip for 35 policy beneficiaries to the capital Hanoi and northern provinces; take 3 war invalids know for their production efficiency to an honor conference in Can Tho City.
 

Moreover, the Youth Union has organized the gratitude month with such activities as thurification at war invalids’ cemeteries and medical checks-up for policy beneficiaries in Khanh Hoa Province.
 

Especially, local departments have organized burial ceremonies for the remains of 11 war invalids at cemeteries in Khanh Hoa and allocated  more than VND5 billion funding to upgrade graves at Hon Dung Martyr Cemetery, Ninh Hoa, Van Ninh and build a martyrs' shrine at Hon Dung Martyr Cemetery.

According to Le Huu Tho, Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids & Social Affairs, the Communist Party and people have always paid great concern over the implementation of reciprocation policies. Accordingly, 8,558 policy beneficiaries have benefited from monthly allowances worth more than VND11.3 billion/ month in total.
 

Moreover, local departments and communities have focused on submitting 518 files for the recognition of "Heroic Vietnamese mothers". The State President has signed a decision to award and posthumously award the title “Heroic Vietnamese mother” to 518 mothers. Therefore, 924 mothers in Khanh Hoa have been awarded the title “Heroic Vietnamese mother”. 40 alive mothers are receiving life care with a monthly grant of 800,000-1 million each.


Furthermore, much propaganda has been boosted to call for donations to the gratitude fund among people from all walks of life. Since 2012, VND13.22 billion has been raised to build and repair 519 houses and offer gifts to policy beneficiaries on national holidays.
