The 2016 natural disaster control and rescue rehearsal was conducted in Ninh Hoa Town on July 19. Present at the event were Nguyen Tan Tuan, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; and Dao Cong Thien, Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee.

The 2 day event took place on July 19-20 with 2 stages, including mechanism operation rehearsal, evacuation, home protection, boat mooring, search and rescue at sea and first aid. The exercise was based on a scenario that a storm swept across Ninh Hoa Town.
The event was designed to enhance leadership, organization and guidance of the Party committees and the government at all levels in handling natural disaster situations, including storm, flooding and landslide; inspect the guidance, organization and cooperation plan and ability of Ninh Hoa Town Natural Disaster Control & Rescue Steering Board; examine the possibility of mobilizing on-site infrastructures, logistics and technique to minimize loss of life and properties in cases of natural disasters.
