Big projects are complete and under way on schedule in Dien Khanh District, Khanh Hoa Province. Site clearance work plays an important role in assuring the progress of the projects.

Vo Thanh Nhan, Chief of the Dien Khanh District Natural Resources & Environment says many big and small projects have been developed in Dien Khanh District in 2016. The site clearance has basically completed, fulfilling targets and requirements assigned by the district.
The district has issued a detailed compensation, support and resettlement plan for Phuc Khanh 2 Urban Zone project invested by Phuc Son Corporation in Dien An Commune at the cost of over VND17 billion. Compensation have been paid to 165/166 cases affected by the project on an area of 21ha in Dien An Commune.
In addition, The district has issued a detailed compensation, support and resettlement plan for the VND4.9 billion ammunition and explosive depot project in Dien Xuan Commune. VND3.954 billion in compensation has been paid to 26/30 cases affected by the project. The detailed compensation and resettlement support for Phu An Nam 2 Residential Zone has also been issued and VND16.9 billion in compensation has been paid to 97/107 affected cases.
Besides, Dien Khanh District People’s Committee completed the site clearance for the Nha Trang – Dien Khanh route and handed the land over to Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee in early 2016. Dien Khanh District People’s Committee has tackled and solved problems and claims related to the site clearance reasonably.
Other projects namely Northern Embankment, Dien Khanh Town; and a firing ground, Dien Tan Commune have also assured requirements for site clearance progress. Site clearance often encounters difficulties due to claims, but until now, no coercion related to site clearance has been reported, according to Vo Thanh Nhan.
Since the beginning of the year, Dien Khanh District People’s Committee has propagandized the land law to raise public awareness of the rights and responsibilities of land users; well carried out compensation and resettlement support policies; motivated affected households in the clearance area to move to make way for projects and thus assured site clearance and compensation progress in accordance with the law; based on approved land use plan, investigated and made schemes on vocational transfer and training for affected people to resettle life, according to Nguyen Huu Hung, Vice-Chairman of Dien Khanh District People’s Committee.
