Ninh Hoa Scholarship Fund held the 13th scholarship presentation ceremony on August 28 to grant scholarships to students in need in Ninh Hoa Town. Present at the event was Le Xuan Than, Vice-Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Khanh Hoa Province.
246 scholarships worth nearly VND343 million in total included 1 scholarship, VND4 million, awarded to Le Nguyen Dang Nguyen, who achieved the highest grade in the 2016 National High School Graduation Exam and won admission to Ho Chi Minh City Medicine & Pharmacy University; 17 scholarships worth VND3 million each to freshmen; 30 scholarships, VND3 million each, to college and university students; and 198 scholarships, VND1 million each, to high school students. Besides, 5 severely disadvantaged students received support from many individuals and organizations.
Speaking at the event, Le Xuan Than expressed his gratitude to founders of the fund and generations of teachers and benefactors for their donation, contributing to education in Ninh Hoa Town in particular and Khanh Hoa in general. He also advised students to continue their effort to gain achievements to deserve the traditional fondness for learning in Ninh Hoa.
Ninh Hoa Scholarship Fund was founded in 2004. Thanks to donation from many benefactors, Ninh Hoa Scholarship Fund has offered nearly 1,300 scholarships totaling nearly 2 billion to disadvantaged students so far.
