Performance by Ninh Hoa 1 team.

The contest venue was Khanh Hoa Television & Radio studio filled with excitement in the greeting performance. The teams Nha Trang 1 and 2 were appraised for their thorough preparation for clothing, props and particularly the integration of law knowledge in acting and singing. The performance by the teams Ninh Hoa 1 and 2 was also impressive, reminding the audience of romantic Dinh River, spacious lotus ponds and peaceful villages. The team Dien Khanh gave a sense of everyday life with the images of the twin tree and Dien Khanh Ancient Citadel. Through the performance, contestants delivered meaningful messages, such as “Tax collection is for national construction and protection”; “Tax contributes to funding expenditures on economic infrastructures”, etc.

In the quick response and multiple choice event, 9 teams showed their knowledge about tax and documents guiding the implementation of the management of tax, business license tax, VAT, personal income tax, etc. Participants gave exact responses to the jury’s questions. In the eloquence event, the team Nha Trang 1 was impressive setting a scene of women officials explaining tax policies to retail traders. The presentation by Ninh Hoa 1 featured the change in the way of thinking about tax officials as well as focused on tax contribution to the development of Ninh Hoa homeland which has grown into a modern town with spacious, beautiful and clean streets.

The contest influenced both contestants and the audience. A contestant named Le Thi Van Binh (Nha Trang 1 team) says, “I’m glad that my team wins the contest. This is an interesting playground for all women. Through the contest, we become more aware of taxation and thus it helps better tax propaganda. I hope the contest will be expanded in the future.” Tran Thi My Dung, Phuoc Hoa Ward Women’s Association Branch, says, “The contest is so exciting.”

“All the teams had excellent tax knowledge, giving all exact answers. Besides, they also gave interesting greeting performance and eloquence deeply bearing cultural characteristics of each region. This showed thorough preparation, great effort and enthusiasm,” reports Nguyen Xuan Dung, Chief of Khanh Hoa Department of Taxation, Deputy Head of the contest organizing board.

The contest provided opportunities for women to learn about tax policies to fulfill their tax rights and responsibilities as well as join propaganda effort. This is a forum for women to meet, exchange and improve knowledge and thus they can be excellent tax law propagandists, according to Le Thi Mai Lien, Vice-Chairperson of Khanh Hoa Women’s Union.
