On September 5, along with all schools in Khanh Hoa Province, Le Quy Don Gifted School, Nha Trang City, held a ceremony to open the 2016- 2017 school year. Present at the event was Le Duc Vinh, Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People’s Committee Chairman.

In the school year 2015-2016, 100% of students passed the National High School Graduation Exam with 1 first-rank graduate and 58 out of 133 top exam score achievers (over 24 scores). The school had 16 prizes, including 3 third and 13 consolation prizes, in the National Excellent Student Contest; 40 medals in the Traditional Olympic Competition April 30; 109 prizes in the Provincial Excellent Student Contest, etc.
In the 2016-2017, the school has 930 students, including 316 tenth-graders. The school focuses on teaching and learning method innovation and striving to retain its recognition as one of the leading high schools nationwide.
