On September 9, Nha Trang Vocational College celebrated the 55th anniversary of its foundation (1962-2017), opened a new school year 2016 and received the 2nd-grade Labor Medal.

Present at the event were Le Thanh Quang, member of Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee; Phan Thong, Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Council; Nguyen Duy Bac, Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee; and Huynh Van Ti, Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids & Social Affairs.
Over 55 years of construction and development, Nha Trang Vocational College has become one of 45 high-quality vocational schools nationwide with outstanding achievements. At present, the school is providing training in 23 careers at associate level, 28 at intermediate level and 26 at primary level. 6 major careers include metal cutting at international standard; industrial electricity, information technology and car technology at ASEAN region standard; and food processing technique, refrigeration and air-conditioning at national standard. Annually, the college has 4,000-4,500 students with the graduation rate of 90-95%.
In addition, the college has invested in infrastructures, teaching facilities, professional development; boosted scientific research; enhanced cooperation at home and abroad; and promoted link with enterprises, etc. The school has been granted many emulation titles and awards.
On this occasion, Khanh Hoa People’s Committee awarded a leading emulation flag to Nha Trang Vocational College in the bloc of universities, colleges and vocational schools in Khanh Hoa ; "Excellent labor collective" title to 6 groups; and certificates of merit to 2 groups and 8 individuals. The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids & Social Affairs granted a quality assessment certificate, level 3 in vocational teaching to the college.
