More than 250 leading professors, doctors, physicians, nurses, bachelors and technicians nationwide and over 20 hematological stem cell transplantation experts from France, Belgium and the U.S.A attended the 4th Vietnamese- French Open Blood & Marrow Transplantation Congress in Nha Trang City on October 21-22.

The event was held by Ho Chi Minh City Hematology & Blood Transfusion Hospital in association with C.H.U Grenoble University and Grenoble Blood Transfusion Center (France). At the conference, attendants discussed and learnt the latest scientific research in hematology, high-tech tests; blood transfusion and blood transfusion in hematological stem cell transplantation; and stem cell banks. This was a chance for medical experts to learn and develop hematological stem cell transplantation.
At present, 9 centers nationwide are developing hematological stem cell transplantation with 578 successful cases, including 222 cases conducted by Ho Chi Minh City Hematology & Blood Transfusion Hospital, the nation’s first hospital to have successfully performed hematological stem cell transplantation in 1995.
