Intimate international friendship

Khanh Hoa Military Headquarters have effectively promoted foreign affairs in Stung Streng, Cambodia with a variety of practical activities showing intimate international friendship.

 

Physicians of Khanh Hoa Military Headquarters provides medical check-ups for locals in Stung Streng Province,Cambodia.

 

“Stung Streng is located north of Cambodia. Under the direction of Military Zone 5 and Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee, officials and soldiers of Khanh Hoa Military Headquarters have done many friendly activities in Cambodia over the past years such as building command houses, offices and houses for soldiers, military - civilian medical stations, etc at a total cost of tens of billions of dongs financed by Khanh Hoa international mission fund and the foreign affairs fund of Khanh Hoa Military Headquarters. The activities have been highly appreciated by Cambodia,” says Colonel Le Van Chin, Political Commissar of Khanh Hoa Military Headquarters.

 

Every year, Khanh Hoa builds plans on mass mobilization in Cambodia. Such visiting trips are often taken on the occasion of the traditional Cambodian New Year known as Choul Chnam Thmey. The two provinces have also signed economic, cultural and social cooperation agreements. Khanh Hoa has been recognized as the leading province in promoting cooperation and support for communities in Cambodia.

 

“Stung Streng has socioeconomic disadvantages. We often travel to remote areas in Stung Streng to provide medical examination, medication and gifts for local residents. The local residents are very happy to receive our help. Over the past years, we have given medical check-ups and medication to more than 3,000 residents in Stung Streng Province,” says Senior Lieutenant-Colonel Nguyen Tran Ha, Head of Military Medical Board, Khanh Hoa Military Headquarters.

 

Leaders, the government and people in Stung Streng Province have deep gratitude for the great support of Vietnamese experts and volunteers who have devoted to the international mission, giving Cambodian people more revival strength as today, according to Major-General SaVayNhon, Stung Treng provincial Military Command on his recent visit to Khanh Hoa. “We have received much support from Khanh Hoa Military Headquarters and Military Zone 5 through several visits to Stung Treng to give medical examination and gifts as well as develop some housing projects. We are so grateful with great admiration,” confirms Major-General SaVayNhon.

 

The results of the friendly cooperation and support over the past years are a base for new cooperation programs. The cooperation is for not only providing relief and support but also promoting mutual benefit, sustainable development and international integration based on the needs and resources of each partner. Therefore, it is essential to define specific views, targets and solutions to cooperation agreements and investment projects in the time to come, according to Colonel Le Van Chin.
