Chairman of Khanh Hoa People’s Committee has just sent urgent telegrams on flood relief to the central provinces of Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Thua Thien Hue.
On October 12-15, heavy rain swept across large parts of central provinces from Nghe An to Thua Thien Hue, causing serious human loss and property damage.
Khanh Hoa Party Committee, People’s Committee, People’s Council and Fatherland Front Committee have extracted VND3 billion from the local budget to support communities stricken by flooding.
Accordingly, VND500,000 million was donated to Quang Binh Province and VND200 million each to the other affected provinces. Besides, Khanh Hoa will continue to call for donation from departments, agencies, armed forces, businessmen and people to help natural disaster victims.
