Khanh Hoa Department of Labor, War Invalids & Social Affairs, held a ceremony to open a multifunctional community house for children with special needs and disabilities at Ninh Hoa Social Service Center on October 18.
The construction was funded by Olymp-Bezner Stiftung, a charitable foundation based in Germany. Present at the event was Nguyen Duy Bac, Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee together with leaders of local departments, agencies and communities.
The 4,000m2 multifunctional community house, located in To 17, Ninh Hiep Ward, Ninh Hoa Town, contains a multifunctional community house, a rehabilitation room, an audio room and 3 classrooms totaling more than VND2.4 billion, including VND2.2 billion funded by Olymp-Bezner Stiftung and VND216 million from Khanh Hoa People’s Committee. The construction aims to serve disabled kids’ needs for care, education and vocational training in Ninh Hoa Town and Van Ninh District, helping the kids to reintegrate into the community.
On this occasion, Khanh Hoa People’s Committee awarded a certificate of merit to a representative of Olymp-Bezner Stiftung for its contribution to social work.
