On November 15, Nguyen Duy Bac, Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee, received Zamruni Khalid, Ambassador of Malaysia to Vietnam on the occasion of the 8th South China Sea International Conference held in Nha Trang City.

Nguyen Duy Bac introduced about the provincial outstanding socio-economic achievements and potentials and expressed his hope that Zamruni Khalid would promote Khanh Hoa destination to Malaysian tourists and investors; and provide a link for education cooperation, particularly in teaching English and information technology between schools in Malaysia and Khanh Hoa.
Khanh Hoa has received few Malaysian investors and tourists (5,000 Malaysian visitors to Khanh Hoa in the last 10 months). Nguyen Duy Bac expressed his hope that Ambassador Zamruni Khalid would further promote the cooperation between Malaysia and Khanh Hoa.
On his first trip to Nha Trang with the purpose to establish the foreign relation with Khanh Hoa, Zamruni Khalid promised to introduce Khanh Hoa to Malaysian tourists and investors and hoped to boost the cooperation, especially in economics, tourism and training. The two partners also discussed tourism human resource training and infrastructures development and expected the opening of a direct flight Malaysia- Cam Ranh to facilitate travel between the two places.
