On November 7-10, ALMA spent VND340 million and connected with 150 foreign volunteers from Israel, the U.S.A, Germany, Canada, etc to join an infrastructure renovation project at Khanh Hoa Social Service Center, especially the area for orphan and disabled children.

The volunteers repaired and painted the gate; installed a water supply system, innovated a vegetable garden, concreted inner roads and playgrounds; bought new equipment, etc. Besides, they also joined clean-up effort at the center.

Graham Wood, a Canadian volunteer, says “I have a dream to take part in a charity program. Luckily, I am connected with ALMA to do this work. This activity is very meaningful to me.” Particularly, the program was also attended by a famous Vietnamese singer My Linh as a Goodwill Ambassador of ALMA. Her warm smiles together with encouraging words helped warm the hearts of the unfortunate and brought them more joy and strength to overcome their circumstances.

Vo Thi Mai Nhu, a disabled child at the center, says, “I am so delighted  to play with foreign volunteers. They also help to repair our houses, decorate classrooms and install water heaters. Their work is such a great encouragement to us to study hard to overcome difficulties and integrate into the community.”

Hem Patel, CEO of ALMA, says, “As an investor in Nha Trang, I myself feel responsible for social work here. The support for the repair and innovation at the center aims to provide a better living environment for the vulnerable. I think, the responsibility of a company is creating not only material and spiritual values for the community, contributing to the sustainable socio-economic development but also support for the less fortunate. 'Happiness when shared is doubled' is our guideline and pledge together with our long-term attachment to Nha Trang. We will continue providing support and connecting with many other foreign volunteers to join burden-sharing effort with locals in Khanh Hoa Province."

ALMA has provided support and connected with foreign volunteers to do charity work at the center. The work is so meaningful. Besides, ALMA and the volunteers have offered many valuable devices such as fridges, televisions, washing machines, computers, electric fans, hair dryers, etc. The assistance has helped improve life quality as well as provide warmth for the unfortunate at the center. Hopefully, ALMA and other businesses continue their support for those in social needs in the time to come, according to Chu Van Cong, Director of Khanh Hoa Social Service Center.
