After its engine broke down, the boat carrying 12 crew lost steering and was adrift approximately 90 nautical miles off the coast of Nha Trang City in a poor weather condition. Receiving the SOS signals, the centre sent Ship SAR 27-01 to the scene to launch the rescue operation. At 1 a.m on November 12, the rescue team reached the boat adrift and towed it ashore safely, reports VMRCC Director Nguyen Xuan Binh.
