In 2016, more than 25,500 people reaching the ages of 70, 75, 80, 85, 90 and centenarians have been given longevity gifts and honored at longevity celebration ceremonies. The total cost of the longevity celebration has been more than VND7.6 billion, according to the Representative Board of Khanh Hoa Association for the Elderly.
66 centenarians have been offered longevity gifts valued at over VND33 million and 330m of silk cloth by the State President. More than 100 ninety-year-olds have received longevity gifts from Khanh Hoa People’s Committee and longevity celebrations for the other old people have been organized by People’s Committees of districts, communes and Association for the Elderly at all levels.
