New Year decorations have brightened up town and city streets across Khanh Hoa Province.

Nha Trang Urban Environment Company is one of the units in charge of New Year decoration in Nha Trang City. Glamourous display with colorful flowers and plants can be seen on traffic islands (near Nha Trang Lodge Hotel, Nga Sau, Le Hong Phong Street, Ma Vong), parterres in front of Nha Trang City People’s Committee, Khanh Hoa Party Committee, Nha Trang Party Committee; together with metal art patterns with 55 composite pots and towers of flowers.
This year, in spite of unfavorable weather, the company has assured sufficient flowers for the lunar New Year decoration. Besides, the company has added and taken care of plants and flowers on median strips, parks; painted traffic lines; whitewashed parterres and trees in main streets; trimmed trees in parterres and parks to make the city more beautiful and attractive.
In addition, the company has made lighting decoration on Tran Phu Street, Binh Tan Bridge, parks, the welcome gate at Ong Bo Bridge, Cau Dua Bridge, Nguyen Tat Thanh Avenue, Pasteur Street, etc. round-the- clock standby will be assured to deal with any electrical emergencies. Nha Trang City has completed the decoration of 4 streets namely Le Thanh Ton, Thai Nguyen, Yersin and Nguyen Thi Minh Khai on December 23, 2016.
Cam Ranh City has illuminated main streets running from Cam Nghia Ward to Ba Ngoi and densly-populated comunities to welcome the lunar New Year 2017 and the anniversary of the Foundation of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3). Cam Ranh Urban Company has finished decking the parks 22-8 and 18-10; main streets namely 22-8, 3-4, Pham Van Dong, etc out with colourful LED lights, plants and trees, says Nguyen Quoc Bao, Chief of Cam Ranh City Office of Culture & Information.
Besdes the urban decoration, many cultural, musical and sporting activities will take place during the lunar New Year Festival such as the display of 200 book copies to mark the 87th anniversary of the Foundation of the Communist Party of Vietnam, a photo exhibition themed spring in Cam Ranh, a spring newspaper festival; former Ninh Hoa prefecture and traditional house open to visitors from the 1st to 6th day of the first lunar year; the display of ornamental trees and flowers, aerobics – hiphop, 2nd couple dance competions, etc.
