New Year journey back home

On January 16, Nha Trang University students took a trip back home for New Year holiday. “My home town is Tam Quan, Binh Dinh Province. Last Tet holiday, I was here, far away from home because I wanted to save travel cost and do a paid-time job to earn money to cover my expense. This year, I receive a travel grant for my trip home. I'm so delighted,” says Vu Thi Lan, a final-year student at Food Technology Faculty.

The financial aid for journey home is considered as material and spiritual presents for poor students to enjoy family get-together during the special holiday,” adds Chau Thi Le Quyen, a student at Fishery Processing Technology Department.”

This is the second year Nha Trang University has celebrated the support program for students’ journey home for Tet holiday at a total cost of nearly VND100 million. Accordingly, the university has mobilized businesses to finance 320 students’ travel back home on 8 coaches.

“Nha Trang University has received much support for its students’ trip home for Tet holiday for 2 years from many companies namely Long Sinh Company, Khanh Hoa Salaganes Nest Company, TP Bank, etc. We hope such support will help inspire students to greater effort in learning to succeed in life in the future,” says Associate Professor – PhD Trang Si Trung, Principal of Nha Trang University.
