A huge fire broke out in Vinh Phuoc Commune, Nha Trang City on Tuesday night (January 17), burning down as many as 78 houses and the property of local residents.

Most of the houses were made by wood and steel sheets, allowing the fire to quickly spread over a large area. Firefighters arrived at the scene shortly after being notified, but the fire-fighting was difficult because the houses were situated in the middle of an islet with small roads.
The fire was under control after 2 hours. No casualties have been reported so far.
