To assure traffic safety and  facilitate travel during Tet Holiday, Khanh Hoa Department of Transport has directed the investor and execution unit, namely Khanh Hoa Construction & Traffic Company and T71 Company to work at full capacity and take advantaged of favorable weather to repair the road.

Accordingly, the road repair has been done since January 6. Traffic distribution and control have been assured to give instructions to drivers at the construction sites.

Nguyen Manh Hung, a roadman, says, “We work continuously, only take a rest for 1 hour after lunch and then continue working. We also work at weekends as part of a drive to cut traffic jams and speed up the work progress. Leaders of Khanh Hoa Department of Transport and the company are frequently present at the construction sites to check the work.”

The route was built a long time ago, so its surface has deteriorated in many places. Roadwork has been underway in 8 seriously damaged sites, about 10km, including 3km in front of Diamond Bay Nha Trang Resort, and 5 seriously damaged sites on the road running through Cam Lam District, especially in Bai Dai. The road work includes patching with an expected cost of more than VND12billion.

Half of the roadwork is expected to finish before Tet and the remaining work is expected to complete before February 18. Tran Phu Street and Pham Van Dong are also under repair to facilitate travel during the New Year holiday, according to Nguyen Cong Dinh, Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Transport.
