Khanh Hoa General Hospital celebrated the 62nd Vietnamese Doctors' Day anniversary on February 20. At the event, all the staff listened to teachings in the letter sent from President Ho Chi Minh to medical staff, reviewed the tradition of the 62nd Vietnamese Doctors' Day anniversary and achievements of the hospital in 2016.
Accordingly, the hospital gave medical examination to over 370,000 arrivals, achieving 119.5% of the plan, successfully performed surgery on nearly 18,000 patients, achieving 150%, gave inpatient treatment to more than 77,540 patients, achieving 148.7%; and inpatient bed occupancy rate of over 90%; received and successfully applied new techniques, especially in cardiology, traumatology, orthopedics, oncology, etc. Besides, the hospital held several local and international scientific conferences, sought donations worth VND5.1 billion from individuals and organizations to help poor patients, provided 186,280 portions for the poor.
In 2017, the hospital focuses on improving its staff's professional quality, communicative skills and code of conduct to improve patients’ satisfaction.
