Great effort has been made to assure crime control and prevention for passenger safety and security at Nha Trang Railway Station.
A recent study has shown that 1,400-1,500 passengers and hundreds of cargo are served and handled a day at Nha Trang Railway Station. Railway station security attempts to protect passengers from crime and other threats.

Nha Trang Railway Station has conducted a basic survey of focus localities for effective crime control and prevention; and boosted patrols to assure security. Concentrated inspection are frequently made at the departments of temporary storage warehouse and freight delivery. On-site firefighting schemes have been made. During departure and arrival time, the station has boosted the crime and theft control and prevention, according to Nguyen Van Ke, Chief of Nha Trang Railway Station.
Nha Trang Railway Station in association with local authorities, especially traffic inspectors, market and forestry management officials to assure safety and security for passengers; and fire control and prevention. Nha Trang Railway Station and railway agencies have fulfilled communication tasks related to security to make timely security reports to local authorities for effective solutions.
Besides, Nha Trang Railway Station in cooperation with the passenger and freight transport department of Nha Trang Railway Transport Branch to assist passengers who are old, disabled, children and pregnant women; assign rail staff to patrol and response to railway emergencies; advise passengers to follow railway regulations; provide information and instructions via the loudspeaker system, etc.
Safety and security have been assured at Nha Trang Railway Station. Especially, during the 2017 Tet holiday, Nha Trang Station cooperated with local authorities to prevent smuggling and transport of banned and restricted goods, ensuring customers’ journeys and freight deliveries safely and securely completed, according to Lieutenant-colonel Huynh Tan Chuc, Chief of Nha Trang Railway Station security team.
