Tran Son Hai introduced about socio-economic highlights in Khanh Hoa and expressed the hope for more cooperation programs in education, training and tourism.
Catherine Wong Siow Ping confirmed the long-term traditional relationship between Vietnam and Singapore with many exchange programs. Singaporean businesses have invested in Vietnam in many sectors. The defense cooperation relationship between Vietnam and Singapore has also been strengthened through Singapore Naval visits to Cam Ranh International Port. Besides, the two countries have had education cooperation programs with many Vietnamese studying in Singapore. She also called on promoting Singaporean businesses to invest in Khanh Hoa.
The visit is one of the specific activities to implement agreements between senior leaders of the Ministry of Defense of the two countries. Reportedly, Singapore Navy’s RSS ENDURANCE ship carrying 180 crew led by Major Lee Kwok called at Cam Ranh International Port in the framework of the visit to Vietnam on February 17-21. This is the 2nd trip of Singapore Navy to the port since its inauguration on March 8, 2016.
