The Vietnam Maritime Rescue Cooperation Center (VNMRCC) brought 8 fishermen ashore to Nha Trang Port safely on its rescue ship SAR27-01 on March 28.

Returning from the Spratly Island fishing ground, a steel-hulled fishing vessel BD-99999TS captained by 49-year-old Le Van Thieu, Hoai Thanh Commune, Hoai Nhon District, Binh Dinh Province, broke down when the ship was approximately 70 nautical miles off the coast of Nha Trang City on March 26.
 
Receiving SOS signals, MRCC Nha Trang sent the ship SAR 27-01 to the scene to launch the rescue operation. The rescue team reached the ship and brought the 8 crew ashore on March 27.
