Nha Trang City People’s Committee has just issued a plan to implement activities to celebrate Earth Hour 2017.
As planned, some lights on main streets and in public places such as 2-4 Square, Thanh Nien Park, Tran Phu Bridge and Xom Bong Bridge were turned off during the Earth Hour from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m on March 25.
Besides, some local people, hotels and restaurants, especially on Tran Phu Street, are expected to join the event by turning off their non-essential lights to save energy.
The event aims to raise public awareness of environmental protection, energy saving and climate change mitigation.
