Khanh Hoa General Hospital held a meeting on March 22 to mark the Vietnam Social Work Day (March 25). More than 300 medical staff engaged in social work exchanged and shared social work experience.
Accordingly, in 2016, Social Work Office of the hospital paid a visit and offered gifts, nearly VND 2 billion in cash, to 2,000 poor patients; donated VND174 million to fund congenital heart surgery on 13 poor patients; and organized charity musical nights to raise funds, over VND700 million, for the poor. In the time to come, the hospital social work office will continue providing a link between benefactors and poor patients in Khanh Hoa Province.
On this occasion, 12 disadvantaged patients at Khanh Hoa General Hospital received gifts worth VND2.5 million. Besides, 5 wheelchairs were offered to the hospital to serve patients.
