Khanh Hoa Study Promotion Fund held a ceremony on March 26 to grant scholarships totaling VND330 million to poor students. Present at the event were Pham Van Chi, former Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee; and Nguyen Chien Thang, former Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee, Honorary Chairman of Provincial Promotion Fund Management Council.

The recipients included orphans, 47 kids with blind parents, 61 children in mountainous areas and 5 children in Truong Sa District. Many of them were graded excellent students.
Reportedly, since its foundation in April 2012, the fund has received donations from 159 enterprises, agencies and individuals and granted 3,913 scholarships and awards worth more than VND6 billion. The fund plans to award winners of the National Excellent Student Contest; the first- and second-prize winners of the provincial Excellent Student Contest and grant scholarships to needy students this September.
