Many activities towards community

Khanh Son District Youth Union has implemented the Youth Month 2017 themed “Young people join hands to build new rural areas and urban civilization” with several practical activities towards the community.

Khanh Son Youth Union has cooperated with Ho Chi Minh City-based Youth Journey Group to seek donations to build a water purifier system for residents in Xom Co Village, Son Binh Commune.

 

Nguyen Sieu Hanh, Head of the Youth Journey Group says, “Local residents in Khanh Son are in need of safe water supply. Therefore, the group has cooperated with Biti’s Company to donate VND120 million worth of a water purifier system, facilitating local residents’ access to clean drinking water.”

 

The water purifier system is built on the land owned by a resident named Cao Van Huy. “Safe water is vital to our health. Therefore, I decided to donate land for the construction of the water purifying station.”

 

Khanh Son Youth Union and Youth Union affiliations have organized many social security activities for the community’s sake. Good examples are seeking funds for the repair of 2 houses in Son Binh Commune and construction of 1 house in Son Lam Commune; organizing clean-up days to protect the environment; helping disadvantaged households with their farm work; getting engaged in dredging canals for agricultural production and so on, according to Huynh Mazxa, Vice-Secretary of Khanh Son Youth Union.

 

Bo Bo Xuan Canh, Xom Co Village, Son Binh Commune, says “We are a poor family living in a shanty house. Khanh Son Youth Union has funded our new home construction. This is such a great delight, motivating us to make further effort to work and escape poverty.”

 

In response to the Youth Month 2017, the commune Youth Union has organized many activities to help servicemen’s families to do their farm work, tidy up around their houses; collect trash, clean up main roads, etc, reports Huynh Thai Son, Secretary of Thanh Son Commune Youth Union.

 

In the time to come, Khanh Son Youth Union will focus on organizing dialogues between the district leaders and Youth Union members and young people; launching the business start-up campaign; developing environmental protection, social security activities, etc; directing Youth Union affiliations to mobilize Youth Union members and young people to join effort to improve infrastructures, make administrative reform, develop scientific initiatives, etc based on the theme of each week in the Youth Month.

 

Through practical activities, Khanh Son young people hope to donate to the construction of the new rural areas, contributing to improving the life of the disadvantaged in  the district.
