Le Quy Don 286 Sailing Ship (Navy Academy) departed on April 3, taking officials and officers and students on a training sea trip and an exchange visit to the Philippines and Brunei Navies.

The mission is led by Colonel, Associate professor and PhD Phan Van Van. The trip is designed to improve steering and cooperation skills; equipment use and techniques; and problem solution skills at sea. This is compulsory requirement for students at the naval academy, helping to combine classroom with hands-on training to meet assigned tasks. Besides, the mission aims to get engaged in military foreign affairs as well as promote the exchange of culture, information and experience with the Philippines and Brunei Navies in an effort to ensure regional peace, cooperation and development.
 
Le Quy Don 286 Sailing Ship was built in Poland. Since its operation in 2016, officials and officers have mastered its tactical techniques to fulfilled assigned tasks.
