Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc addressed the opening of the National Online Conference on Pharmaceutical Development in Lao Cai Province on April 12. Dao Cong Thien, Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee together with leaders of local departments and agencies attended the event.
According to a report by the Ministry of Health, there are more than 220 pharmaceutical manufacturing and processing establishments and some 200 pharmaceutical businesses in Vietnam. To boost the pharmaceutical development, the Ministry of Health proposed 6 groups of measures, including counterfeit and smuggling prevention; traditional medicine hospital infrastructure improvement; pharmaceutical quality control system improvement, etc.
Khanh Hoa is bestowed with great potential for developing traditional medicines. More survey and evaluation of pharmaceutical products are required in Khanh Hoa to have suitable planning; together with initiatives for pharmaceutical investors, etc.
