Khanh Hoa Steering Board for Blood Donation held a meeting in Van Ninh District on April 8 in response to the National Voluntary Blood Donation Day (April 7).
After the launching ceremony, nearly 300 staff, Youth Union members and young people in Van Ninh District joined a parade along main streets and donated over 230 units of blood.
More than 17,400 units of blood were donated in 2016. Nearly 7,000 units of blood were given in the first quarter of 2017. At present, 1.57% of Khanh Hoa population join blood donation and the repeaters account for 62%. 100% of donated blood has been used in emergency and medical treatment.
