On May 8, Nguyen Duy Bac, Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee received Popov Aleksey Vladimirovich, Russian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City.

Popov Aleksey Vladimirovich informed of more and more Russian visitors to Khanh Hoa with expected 500,000 Russian arrivals this year. He also thanked provincial leaders for maintaining a safe and secure environment for tourists, including Russian people.
Nguyen Duy Bac expressed his delight at increasing Russian tourists to Khanh Hoa and confirmed provincial welcome to Russian tourists and suggested more information exchange and cooperation to solve issues related to customs procedures and medical treatment for tourists.
Nguyen Duy Bac advocated the opening of Russian Consulate General branch in Nha Trang City but the matter is within the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Nguyen Duy Bac suggested further Russian cooperation in economics, education, culture, science and technology with Khanh Hoa. Popov Aleksey Vladimirovich promised to forward Khanh Hoa leaders’ suggestions to Russian Consulate General to Vietnam as well as leaders of Russia.
