Nha Trang City People’s Committee held the 2017 Children’s Forum on Children’s law together with child violence and abuse control on June 16. Leaders of local departments, agencies and organizations; 150 kids from 27 communes and wards; Huong Duong Orphanage, and children of members of Nha Trang City Association for the Blind.
The kids joined group discussion on issues related to the law on child protection, care and education; children’s rights and responsibilities; child abuse risks and so on; spoke up their ideas and suggestions; took part in crossword puzzles, etc.

There are some 5,000/90,000 children from poor families in Nha Trang City at present. Over the past years, the city has held many activities on child protection, care and education such as community-based counseling for more than 1,000 kids and pupils; heart screening; orthopaedic surgery; assistance heart operation assistance; and provision of school grants and supplies worth VND2billion/ year.
