Ninh Da Ward Steering Board of Population & Family Planning in association with Ninh Da Women’s Association and Ninh Tay Women’s Association Ninh Hoa Town has just celebrated a mass wedding ceremony and granted marriage certificates to 6 ethnic minority couples in Ninh Tay Council. Also attending the mass wedding ceremony were 60 ethnic minority women in Ninh Tay Commune.
The event aimed to provide the newly-wed and ethnic minority women with basic knowledge about the Marriage and Family law, gender equality and reproductive health care. The wedding ceremony was solemnly celebrated with traditional rituals. A representative of the Division of Justice granted marriage certificates to 6 couples.
On this occasion, population officials provided knowledge related to gender equality, reproductive health care; free contraceptive devices for the couples; offered gifts to disadvantaged couples and women in Ninh Tay Commune.
