The Department of Immigration (Ministry of Public Security) in association with the Division of Immigration, Khanh Hoa Public Security has held a workshop to implement an online passport application program.
Accordingly, Vietnamese citizens can now apply for passports via the Department of Immigration's website hochieu.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn. Applicants are required to fill application forms and make an appointment online. Based on the appointment schedule, applicants must bring their identity cards or declaration codes when going to the Department of Immigration to submit their documents. Within 10 days from the appointment date, the online application will be deleted if applicants are not present at the Department of Immigration.
Reportedly, Khanh Hoa is among the first 5 provinces nationwide to run the online passport application program.
