Khanh Hoa People’s Committee has just issued a decision on Gia Tue Investment Company’s investment policies on the urban zone The Forest Hill Hotel & Villas in Vinh Nguyen Ward and Vinh Truong Ward, Chut Mount area, Nha Trang City. Previously, Khanh Hoa People’s Committee had approved the 1/500 scale planning of the project.
According to the planning, The Forest Hill Hotel & Villas is bordered by mountains and a residential area to the north; Anh Nguyen Villas and Ocean View Villas to the south, Tran Phu Street to the east; and Mipeco urban Area project to the west. The project is 62.7ha, including nearly 20ha urban area and 43ha landscape forest with an estimated population of 4,700. The project is expected to provide 234 villa plots, 122 low-rise housing plots and 52 resettlement plots. Besides, the urban area includes a 17-storey hotel and service building, a 2-story social housing building and a 5-storey terraced house. The project has a total investment capital of approximately VND460 billion.
The Forest Hill Hotel & Villas has 2 main functions, namely new urban area zoning and landscape forest cultivation. The new urban area has main functional zones such as villas, a trade and service building; a housing and trade zone; hotel and service building, apartment blocks and terraced houses; schools, technical infrastructures and joint technical infrastructures.
Housing and trade zone, resettlement area and social houses will be located in the low eastern area. Other functional zones such as villas; trade and service buildings will be situated along the Chut Mount covered by landscape trees with low-density constructions.
The landscape forest will cover the entire Chut Mount and adjacent areas, accounting for 62% of the total project area. The investor will base on the current actuality to add more fertile soil to grow trees; maintain and restore the entire natural ecosystem, according to the leader of Gia Tue Investment Company.

The design principles are to minimize the impact on the natural terrain; maintain and promote the availability of natural features; and protect the environment. The architecture highlight are the square at the main entrance, east of Tran Phu Street, and the square combining high-rise hotels on the mount peak. The project also connects the eastern entrance up to the trade apartments and hotel-service complex and a reception square. Modern architectures create a 40-60m-wide space with overflow fountains and a statue garden together with advertisement panels, etc. Besides, a landscape will be created along the path leading to the mount peak linking the central square and architectural highlight on the peak and villas hidden in ecological forest trees. Shady trees, landscape plants and floral and grass carpets will be created along the road.
According to the National Institute for Urban & Rural Planning (Ministry of Construction), Chut Mount is a tourist attraction that needs innovation in Tran Phu Street. If properly promoted, the site is expected to create a green ecological space, contributing to a perfect combination of environment, landscape and green space in Nha Trang City.
