Van Ninh District People’s Committee has held a meeting to implement the natural disaster response and rescue scheme 2017.
The event focused on evaluating and learning experience from the natural disaster response and rescue 2016. Van Ninh was severely damaged by unfavorable weather conditions with 33 houses destroyed and damaged, nearly 300 tons of aquatic products, 100ha of winter-spring rice; 500 ha of summer-autumn rice, irrigational works and boats damaged in 2016.
In 2017, the natural disaster response and rescue scheme includes taking onsite response and rescue measures, cooperating with Khanh Hoa Northern Irrigation Work Company to operate flood spillways, inspect the quality of irrigation works before the rainy season, etc.
