The 12th National Conference on Nuclear Science & Technology took place in Nha Trang City on August 2. Present at the event were Pham Cong Tac, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology and Nguyen Duy Bac, Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee.
More than 370 scientists and experts from 70 domestic and foreign organizations operating in the unclear power field updated the latest research findings and experience in nuclear technology development, radiation safety, etc. Especially, Vietnam Atomic Energy Institute in association with the International Atomic Energy Agency held a workshop on application of nuclear techniques in industry, agriculture, rural development and health care and organized an exhibition on the application of advanced science and technology in socio-economic development.
The National Conference on Nuclear Science & Technology is held every 2 years. This is an important event for the national atomic energy research, development and application and provided an opportunity for domestic and international leading scientists and experts to share and discuss the latest nuclear science and technology findings and experience.
