Khanh Hoa People’s Committee has approved in principle Phuc Sinh Investment Company’s construction of a parking-lot in Dien Toan Commune, Dien Khanh District. The project promises to reduce traffic congestion, facilitate travel and serve as a location for the transit of goods from trucks.
At present, there is no parking-lot for means of goods transportation in Nha Trang City and Dien Khanh District while the demand for passenger and goods transportation, especially in Nha Trang City is on the increase. Due to the lack of parking-lots, trucks loading and unloading goods for delivery to customers in Nha Trang City often cause traffic congestions.
To solve the problem, Khanh Hoa People’s Committee issued a decision on June 28 to approve Phuc Sinh Investment Company’s construction of a parking-lot in Dien Toan Commune. Accordingly, the VND15 billion project will be developed in an area of 2.2ha, including 16,400 for parking space and lanes, 1,000m2 for a warehouse and a goods transit station; 2,986m2 for parks and 1,632m2 for auxiliary works (a garage, offices, a canteen and restrooms). The project operation will last for 50 years beginning on the date of the approval decision.
The parking lot construction is expected to provide solutions to the high demand for parking and goods storage in Western Nha Trang urban areas when the work on Cao Ba Quat – Cau Lung route finishes as well as reduce traffic load in 23-10 Street, Nha Trang City, says Nguyen Cong Dinh, Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Transport.

Phuc Sinh Investment Company is about to complete the technical design. The site clearance has completed. The parking-lot project has the geographical advantage of being next to Nha Trang City Southern Coach Station, on the corner of Dien Khanh bypass (National Road 1) and Cao Ba Quat- Cau Lung; near the National Road 1 and road axis in Nha Trang City. The favorable location is expected to draw a lot of transportation businesses. Goods from big trucks will be unloaded and stored in a transit warehouse to be brought to smaller means for delivery service to customers in Nha Trang City, according to Pham Van Quan, Director of Phuc Sinh Investment Company.
Parking fares are defined in Khanh Hoa People’s Council resolution No.04 dated July 9, 2014 on the collection, management and use of parking fares in Khanh Hoa Province. The construction is scheduled for 12 months. Traffic safety and project progress and quality will be assured during the construction, confirms Director Pham Van Quan.
