Vietnam Academy of Science & Technology, Institute of Oceanography and Institute of Science & Technology opened an International Scientific Conference & Forum science for blue growth in the East Sea on September 12 with the participation of more than 230 scientists at home and abroad.
3 forum themes include Science for Sustainable Development in the East Sea, International Scientific Cooperation in the East Sea and Human Capacity Building for Vietnam as a Strengthened Marine Nation. Besides, there are scientific sessions on Marine Biodiversity and Resources, Marine Biology and Aquaculture; Natural Hazards and Environmental Risks; Oceanographic Processes and Marine Engineering; Marine Geology and Chemistry; Coastal and Ocean Management.
The event is to mark the 95th foundation anniversary of Institute of Oceanography (September 14, 1922 –2017). It is scheduled to end on September 14.
