The Representative Board of Khanh Hoa Association for the Elderly offered 300 gifts to senior citizens in need in Ninh Hoa Town (200 gifts) and Dien Khanh District (100 gifts), Khanh Hoa Province on September 28. The gifts worth VND300,000 each included rice, cooking oil, fish sauce, soft drink and salangane’s nest drink.
Reportedly, the gifts totalled more than VND90 million were funded by Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Company, the management board of Van Phong economic Zone, Vietcombank Khanh Hoa, management board of the Northern Cam Ranh Peninsula Tourist Site and Khanh Hoa Customs Department.
The event was to mark the 27th International Day of Older Persons and in response to the National Action Month for the Elderly.
