The storm No. 14 called Kirogi is fast approaching the southern central of Vietnam. It is forecast to make landfall between Khanh Hoa Province and Binh Thuan Province on Sunday morning, November 19, 2017.
At 1 pm, November 18, the storm's eye was about 450km east of the coast from Khanh Hoa Province to Binh Thuan Province, moving west at 20 – 25 kilometers per hour. It is forecast to come to Khanh Hoa shore around 10 am, November 19. The storm has wind speed at level 8, 9 and wind shock at 12 level.
Even through this new threat is expected to be weaker than Damrey earlier this month, it could cause servere damage across the still-recovering region. The authority, departments and people in Khanh Hoa Province are promptly doing preparations to cope with the storm and limit damage. All schools in the province are closed from 12 am, November 18 till the end of November 20. Tourists are recommended to be highly aware of the storm.
