Representatives of BOT Deo Ca Khanh Hoa Company cooperated with Cau Duong Sai Gon Company, Ve si Thang Long – Deo Ca Company and Ninh Hoa Toll Collection Station delivered emergency relief to severe typhoon victims in Ninh Loc Commune, Ninh Hoa Town on November 6.
VND10 million each was given to 5 dead victims’ families and VND5 million to 1 severely injured. Besides, poor families and residents whose houses were badly damaged received VND2 million each. The total assistance was worth nearly VND100 million.
According to initial statistics, the typhoon killed 5 people, heavily damaged 300 homes, blew roofs off 90% of homes; caused extensive damage to over 70% of crops, 60% of electricity and communications systems; and widespread blackouts and water shutdowns. Untill now, all residents in the commune are still suffering from blackouts and water shutdowns which are estimated to take at least 2 weeks to be fixed.
