Nha Trang – Da lat road has been completely cut off by typhoon, said Ta Thanh Tinh, Chief of the Road Management Division III.3 on November 5.
The road was destroyed by a massive landslide in 7 locations, from Km53+900 to Km61+500. Landslide debris and big trees fell down, blocking traffic from 10am on November 4. It is expected to take 3-5 days to clear of the landslide to facilitate traffic.
Besides, the road was damaged with potholes cracked, sewerage covered by debris, guardrails destroyed, etc in many locations. All-out repair effort is underway to be able to soon reopen the road to traffic and assure travel safety.
Weather forecasts suggested that the rain will continue in Khanh Vinh District, causing more landslide risk.
